BIO

DANNI SUZUKI is one of Brazil’s most influential artists of Asian descent. An actress, TV host, director, screenwriter, and keynote speaker, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from PUC-RJ and a postgraduate degree in Neuroscience from PUC-RS, where she also teaches in the postgraduate program in Digital Influence and Neuromarketing. With four TEDx talks to her name, Danni is among the most in-demand speakers in the country, according to DMT. In 2024, she was appointed Social Director of the Brazil–Japan Cultural Institute.

In her artistic career—now spanning more than three decades—she studied directing and acting at the NY Film Academy (New York and Los Angeles) and served twice as an Emmy Awards juror, a global benchmark of excellence in television. She worked as a series creator and screenwriter at Prime Video Brazil and as a screenwriter for the same channel in the U.S. She won awards as director and screenwriter for her film “Pulso” at several national and international festivals, including the Olympus Film Festival (USA), the Brazilian Film Festival -LABRRIF (USA), and the Mar del Plata International Film Festival (Argentina).

Danni became a historic milestone for representation in Brazil by becoming the first actress of Asian descent to star as the lead in a feature film for cinema. With a solid trajectory in Brazilian television—where she acted for nearly 20 years in major audience hits—she established herself as a cultural reference in the country.

A social activist, Danni Suzuki was appointed in 2025 as a High-Profile Supporter of UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency). The title recognizes her involvement in humanitarian causes, where she has been active—joining and leading several campaigns—especially in the fight for the rights of refugee populations, a cause she has embraced passionately for more than eight years. She personally visited refugee camps in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and at the border between Brazil and Venezuela, witnessing firsthand the reality faced by these vulnerable communities. These experiences inspired the documentary “S.Ó.S.”, set to premiere soon, bringing visibility to refugee children’s fight for dignity and survival. Danni was an ambassador for the American NGOs “Waves for Water” and “Make a Wish”, and has carried out her own social projects for over 25 years.

Throughout her career, she has starred in advertising campaigns for major brands with a rare distinction: the longevity and depth of her partnerships. With long-term contracts, she built an image of integrity, authenticity, and credibility. Her communication skills—combined with natural empathy and an ability to adapt to market transformations—have made her admired by different generations. Her genuine presence creates a lasting connection with the public and translates brand values with emotion and trust.

After the success of the feature film “Segredos” in theaters and on Prime Video—through which she received a Best Actress nomination at the Marbella International Film Festival in Spain—Danni premiered in 2025 the second season of the reality show “New Faces”, which she hosts on the E! channel, and appeared in the series “Capoeiras”, an original Disney+ production. Now, in 2026, she is preparing for three new releases: a leading role in the series “(In)Vulneráveis” for Universal+, a fiction series for Globoplay (still under wraps), and the release of her book.
