BIO
DANNI SUZUKI is one of the most influential artists of Asian descent in Brazil. An actress, TV host, director, screenwriter, and speaker, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from PUC-RJ and a Postgraduate degree in Neuroscience from PUC-RS, where she also teaches in the Graduate Program in Digital Influence and Neuromarketing.
With four TEDx Talks under her belt, Danni is among the most requested speakers in Brazil, according to DMT. In 2024, she was appointed Social Director of the Brazil–Japan Cultural Institute and became a founding member of the Academy of Neuroscience and Psycho-Spirituality at UERJ.
Her artistic career spans more than three decades. She studied directing and acting at the NY Film Academy (NY and LA) and has twice served as a juror for the Emmy Awards, a global standard of excellence in television. She worked as creator and screenwriter for an original series on Prime Video Brazil, and as a writer for the same platform in the United States. Her film “Pulso” earned her national and international recognition as director and screenwriter, with awards at festivals such as the Olympus Film Festival (USA), Brazilian Film Festival - LABRRIF (USA), and the Mar del Plata International Film Festival (Argentina).
Danni became a historic symbol of representation in Brazil as the first actress of Asian descent to star in a feature film in Brazilian cinema. With a solid television career, having starred in high-profile productions for nearly 20 years, she has established herself as a cultural reference in the country.
A committed social activist, Danni Suzuki was recently appointed a High-Profile Supporter of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. The title recognizes her extensive humanitarian work, particularly her leadership in campaigns defending refugee rights — a cause she has passionately embraced for over eight years. She has personally visited refugee camps in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and along the Brazil–Venezuela border, witnessing firsthand the challenges faced by these vulnerable communities. These experiences inspired her upcoming documentary “S.O.S.”, which gives voice to refugee children and their fight for dignity and survival. Danni has also served as an ambassador for the American NGOs “Waves for Water” and “Make a Wish”, and has led her own social projects for over 25 years.
Throughout her career, Danni has starred in major advertising campaigns with a rare distinction: the longevity and depth of her brand partnerships. With long-term contracts, she has built a public image grounded in integrity, authenticity, and trust. Her exceptional communication skills, natural empathy, and ability to adapt to a constantly evolving market have made her a beloved figure across generations. Her true presence creates lasting emotional connections with audiences and authentically conveys brand values with credibility and heart.
Following the success of the feature film “Segredos” in theaters and on Prime Video — for which she received a Best Actress nomination at the Marbella International Film Festival in Spain — Danni will return in 2025 for Season 2 of the reality show “New Faces” on E! Channel. She also stars in two upcoming releases: the series “(In)Vulneráveis”, also on E!, and “Capoeiras”, an original production by Disney+.
